国際教養大学専門職大学院では、2019年度の科目等履修生および聴講生を募集します。これは、本学専門職大学院の授業を正規学生と共に履修するものです。
【科目等履修生】 本学の学生以外の者で、一または複数の授業科目を履修し、単位取得を目的とする者
【聴講生】 本学の学生以外の者で、一または複数の授業科目を履修し、単位取得を目的としない者

※ 日本語教育実践領域（JLT）の科目等履修生および聴講生の募集はありません。
※ 履修者数が一定数に至らない場合は、その科目を開講しないことがあります。

3．出願資格・条件
【科目等履修生】
次の①～⑨のいずれかに該当する者かつ⑩および⑪の条件を満たす者
① 大学を卒業した者
② 独立行政法人大学評価・学位授与機構により学士の学位を授与された者
③ 外国において、学校教育における16年の課程を修了した者
④ 外国の学校が行う通信教育における授業科目を我が国において履修することにより当該外国の学校教育における16年の課程を修了した者
⑤ 我が国において、外国の大学の課程（その修了者が当該外国の学校教育における16年の課程を修了したとされる者に限る。）を有する者として当該外国の学校教育制度において位置づけられた教育施設であって、文部科学大臣が別に指定するものの当該課程を修了した者
⑥ 専修学校の専門課程（修業年限が4年以上であることその他の文部科学大臣が定める基準を満たす者に限る。）で、文部科学大臣が別に指定する者を文部科学大臣が定める日以後に修了した者
⑦ 文部科学大臣の指定した者（昭和28年文部省告知第５号）
（1）旧大学令による大学、各省庁組織令・設置法による大学校等を卒業した者
（2）教育職員免許法（昭和24年法律第117号）による小学校、中学校、高等学校もしくは幼稚園の教諭もしくは養護教諭の専修免許状または一種免許状を有する者で22歳（入学時点）に達した者
⑧ 学校教育法（昭和22年法律第26号）第102条第2項の規定により他の大学院に入学した者であって、本大学院においてその教育を受けるにふさわしい学力があると認めた者
⑨ 本大学院において、個別の入学資格審査により、大学を卒業した者と同等以上の学力があると認めた者
⑩ 英語での授業を理解できる程度の英語力を持つ者

【聴講生】
2019年4月1日現在、22歳以上で下記に該当する者

9．留意事項
本学の授業は少人数制のため、積極的な参加が求められます。また、ほぼ毎回課題が出され、次の授業までに自習が必要となります。科目等履修生および聴講生においても、正規学生と同様です。したがって、募集はこのような形式で学ぶ意欲のある方を対象とします。自習を怠る、頻繁に欠席する等の理由で履修の継続が困難、または他の学生に悪影響を与えると本学が判断した場合には、履修を中止していただくことがあります。

Seeking Applications for Non-degree-seeking Students and Auditors, Graduate School for 2019 Admission
The Graduate School of Global Communication and Language at Akita International University (AIU) is now seeking applications from non-degree-seeking students and auditors for 2019 admissions. These students will take courses at AIU along with degree-seeking students.
Non-Degree-Seeking Students:
These students are not degree-seeking students, but take a few courses and receive credits for them.
Auditors:
These students are not degree-seeking students, but take a few courses for which they do not receive credits.

3. Application Requirements
【Non-Degree-Seeking Students】
Applicants must meet one of the requirements 1) to 9) and both 10) and 11).
1) Have graduated from an undergraduate university/college.
2) Have attained a bachelor’s degree from an independent university organization.
3) Have completed 16 years of education in a foreign country.
4) Have completed 16 years of education in Japan through correspondence education based in a foreign country.
5) Have graduated from a foreign-based university within Japan (after completing 16 years of education in that foreign country), which is specifically designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Technology.
6) Have completed a vocational education program (of 4 years in length or specially designated by the Minister of Education), which is specifically recognized by the Minister of Education, after the date on which the program was recognized.
7) Be officially designated by the Minister of Education (in accordance with Announcement Article 5 of the year 1953)
a) Have graduated from an educational institution designated under the former University edict, or under a Ministry Act of Incorporation.
b) Hold a special teaching license for Elementary, Junior High, or High School or Pre-school or Kindergarten, in accordance with Bill, Article 117 of the year 1949.
8) Have matriculated to a graduate school, as defined by the Education Law (Bill 26 of the year 1947) Article 102, paragraph 2, and be determined to possess the necessary academic skills to take courses at AIU’s graduate school.
9) Submit personal documents for review to AIU so as to be determined to possess academic ability equal to a university graduate.
10) Have sufficient English ability to complete courses.

【Auditors】
Must be 22 years old or older by April 1, 2019, and possess both of the following:
1) Have sufficient English ability to complete courses.

5. Screening Procedures
Applicants are assessed on their motivation to learn and their English ability. The assessment will be based on the following:
1) Review of the Application Materials
2) Interview by a Head of Department

Application Fee: None
Matriculation Fee: 28,200JPY
Tuition: 14,800 JPY per credit for Non-Degree-Seeking Students, 7,400 JPY per credit for Auditors
7. Application Period
Application documents must be received at AIU during the following periods:
Spring Semester: March 13, 2019 – March 25, 2019
Fall Semester: August 13, 2019 – August 23, 2019
Winter program: December 4, 2019 – December 19, 2019
8. Interview Schedule
Applicants will be informed of the specific date and time at a later date.
9. Notes
Classes at AIU have a low student-to-teacher ratio and in most courses students are expected to contribute significantly to the class. Most courses have an assignment for every class, requiring an extensive out-of-class time commitment. The conditions of study for non-degree-seeking students and auditors are the same as degree-seeking students and only those who are willing to study in this style should apply. If it is judged that a student’s absences or failure to complete out-of-class work makes it difficult for him/her to complete the class, or that it is negatively affecting other students, the student may be removed from the class.
